How do Cub Scout packs track dues?
A treasurer needs a record of payments, expenses and each Scout's balance. PackLedger Scout provides a local ledger for these tasks, with separate Scout accounts and a pack overview.
Is there a free alternative to MoneyMinder for a small Scout pack?
If you need simple offline bookkeeping and exports, PackLedger Scout is a free option. It is not a feature-for-feature replacement for an online accounting service: it has no bank connection or shared cloud ledger.
How do I hand over pack finances to a new treasurer?
Reconcile your records, export CSV and JSON files, and produce a PDF report for reference. Transfer the files securely to the incoming treasurer and verify the balances together. PackLedger does not automatically share data.
Do I need internet access or an account?
No account is required and the ledger works offline. Downloading the app and making an optional store tip require store connectivity.
